BIIF boys volleyball action

Tuesday and Wednesday saw BIIF varsity boys volleyball teams complete some of their final matches before the upcoming BIIF playoffs, which begin next weekend.

On Tuesday, Parker School swept Makua Lani Christian by set scores of 25-14, 25-21 and 25-21 again.

Konawaena High School defeated Honoka‘a High School 3-1 on Tuesday — winning the first two sets 25-12 and 25-18 before falling 26-24 in the third. The Wildcats completed their victory with a 27-25 fourth-set win.

Honoka‘a and Makua Lani will face off at 5 p.m. Friday at the Dragons’ senior night. This match will be both teams’ final regular season outing.

Also on Tuesday, Kohala High School swept Christian Liberty Academy 25-15, 25-23 and 25-21. Both teams will play their senior night games at 5 p.m. on Friday. Kohala will host Ka ‘Umeke and CLA will host Laupahoehoe PCS.

On Wednesday, Pahoa High School won its senior night with a sweep over Laupahoehoe — dominating the first and third sets 25-8 and winning the second 25-20. This match concluded the Daggers’ regular season. Pahoa will likely go on to the BIIF semifinals in a high seed.
